Its a Pandemic: What do we do?

After researching the Center for Disease, as well as the World Health Organization I found that the mask they both recommend was the N95 Respirator Mask.
When storing this mask it will be important to keep them in a dry place.
If you are interested in purchasing this mask you can find them at www.beprepared.com $14.95 for a box of 20! Normally $30.

The best protection, however, will be to remain at least 6ft away from anyone who is ill or to self quarantine.

Using these masks and gloves would be very helpful when administering to our sick loved ones. We have designated one room in our home as the "sick room". Its close to a bathroom and is equipped with a TV for watching movies in case our sickies get bored as well as our humidifier and nebulizer just incase the lungs are infected.

The CDC also recommend having anti viral medication to use against recently circulating flu viruses.
- Relenza (Zanamivir)
- Tamiflu (Oseltamivir Phosphate)

Any other medications that would help with the symptoms would also be important to have, such as fever reducers or pain medications.  Our son is asthmatic so we try to store his meds in bulk.  My husband is also Type I Diabetic so storing his extra insulin in the fridge is a must to help prolong the life of the medication.

Sometimes administering oils can help sooth the pain and create a calming environment for our loved ones who our sick. When my family is sick they prefer having our healing oils rubbed on them than anything else. It also eases my mind and helps me feel as if I am doing SOMETHING while the medication takes its time to work.
